Maharaja Yudhisthira said: O Lord Supreme!, What is the name of the Ekadasi that occurs during the fortnight of leap year?, Too, Oh, master of the whole universe!, What is the process by observing it properly? Amicably tells all this to me.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna replied, Oh Yudhisthira, merit Ekadasi day is called Parama Ekadasi. This gives the blessing of life and ultimately enjoyable release of birth and death. The process is similarly noted that observing the Ekadashi that occurs in the month of Kartika. In this Ekadasi is said that one could love me, the best of all living entities, with love and devotion. In this connection I am going to tell a wonderful story as I heard this from the wise grades Kampilya City.

Once a pious brahmana named Sumedha lived in Kampilya with his wife who was extremely chaste and devoted to her husband. A reation of having committed some sins in your previous life, Sumedha was without any money or food, grains and even begged him to many people for food. He could not get any substantial amount. The difficulty had to purchase clothing or protection for himself with his beautiful young wife who had an excellent character because he continued to serve her husband faithfully.

Seeing all this and lamenting his bad luck, Sumedha told him one day Pavitra: My dear wife, O most beautiful one, I have asked alms of the rich but receives little crumbs. What can I do? What is possible relief for our pain? Where can I go for relief? Oh, the most obedient and loving wife, a man without enough wealth from home can never be satisfied. In this way Please let us go abroad and obtain wealth. If I make such an effort, I could certainly get any fortune that I am destined to enjoy. Without making any effort, a person can not satisfy their desires or meet their needs. thus a wise man said that the enthusiastic effort is always auspicious.

Listening to her husband speak these words, Pavitra joined his palms and startled eyes with tears he spoke with great respect and sorrow: I think there is little or wiser than you my dear. But the scriptures say that any wealth which people in your life is given by the charity before and if he has no great love in his life before then if he could set up a quantity of gold as big as Mount Sumeru, he will stay poor. Any charity that a person gives in name in form of education, money, rich soil then will return to it later in life. We won what we have won. Anything that the Lord of fate, the creator has written someone’s fortune will surely come. Nobody gets anything for wealth without giving charity in his previous life.

O best of brahmanas!, We are now poor in our previous life we have not given in charity to the right people. In this way, Oh, pretty wife!, You could stay here with me, without you I can not live even for a moment. Stripped of her husband, a woman is not welcomed by his father, mother, brother, father or other family members. All say: You have lost your husband, you’re with bad luck. In this way I could be criticized severely. Please stay here with me this way and be satisfied with any wealth that you can get. Whatever is intended, we could obtain a curse of time and then enjoy yourself here in perfect happiness.

Listening to these words of his wife paulativas Sumedha decided to remain in his native village.

One day the great sage Kaundinya came to his palace and watching the brahmana Sumedha and his wife stood before him and then offered him their obeisances. With his head bowed, Sumedha welcomed him. We are very fortunate to behold here today, Oh, the greatest of all sages, my life has become happy and I am very obliged to you.

Kaundiya Sumehda Muni offered a comfortable place and highly celebrated by his austerities and learn to have a darsana today. Sumedha said: I’ve become very fortunate.

And then he asked the beggar Pavitra: Oh, the largest Dhabi!, Who prosecuted we can continue to be rid of our poverty?, How can a person who has not given anything to charity in his previous life to get a good family, much wealth, and a fine education in this life? My husband wants me here and go abroad to get alms but I’ve asked him to stay here with me. I humbly say that if one lacks wealth in this life is because it has given charity in previous lives. So He has consented to stay. This is just for my great fortune that you mercifully have come here today. Now we are indeed to see the end of our poverty very soon.

Oh, the best of the brahmanas!, Please tell us about us how we can be free of this perpetual miceria? Oh, merciful, wise, kindly describes some meaning, a place of pilgrimage that we could visit, a day of fasting that we can observe austerity or we could run to end our bad luck forever.

Listening to this heartfelt entreaty of a lady patient, the great sage Kaundinya reflector silently for a moment and then said: There is a fast very dear to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Hari. Fasting on this day cancels all kinds of sins and removes all the misery caused by poverty.

This day of fasting, occurred during the extra month of leap year is known as Parama Ekadasi. This is the best day of Lord Vishnu. This Ekadasi if it provides all the necessities of life such as money, food grains and as a last gives liberation.

When the night of this day comes, one might start singing the praises of the Lord and singing in ecstasy, and could continue through the night. This was once holy fasting observed by the Lord Kuvera. When Lord Siva saw him he was strictly observed, Siva became very pleased with him, the treasure of Heaven.

King also fast on this Ekadasi Haricandra after his beloved wife and son had been sold the King was able to recover them. That way he ruled his kingdom with no impediments.

Thus, O large-eyed lady, thou you can observe this holy day of Parama Ekadasi following the rules and regulations and stay awake all night.

The Lord Krishna continued: Oh Yudhisthira, the son of Pandu, so mercifully Kaundiya Muni instructed about the fast Pavitra Parama Ekadasi.

Then he told Sumedha: In Dvadasi, the day after Ekadasi, you could see Pancaratrika fasting in accordance with the rules and regulations. After taking a bath in the early morning you and you both good wife, your family and your wife could fast five days.

Then you could drive you fully eligible to return home to the abode of Lord Vishnu. A person who simply uses a single site during these five days are going to the heavenly planets. Whoever feeds a qualified brahmana in these five days pleased indeed to all the demigods, human beings.

Anyone who gives a person learned a pot full of sesame seeds, resides in the heavenly planets for many years as the number of seeds in the pot.
Anyone who donates a pot of water to a Brahmana born a second time during the five-day fasting period equal merit wins for donating the entire planet earth in charity.

One who donates a pot with oil, gold will surely God’s dwelling place of the sun after the pleasures of the earth. Whoever remains celibate for five days could obtain heavenly bliss with Indraloka virgin.

Thus, both of you Sumedha and Pavitra could fast during these five days Pancaratrika to be rewarded with grains and wealth for the rest of their lives on this planet. The spiritual world can be you home later.

Listening to this sublime notice, the brahmana Sumedha and his wife observed Pavitra Parama Ekadasi fasting Pancatrika and soon after they watched a handsome prince about the royal palace. By order of Lord Brahma, the prince gave them a beautiful and exquisitely furnished house and invited them to live there. Praising his austerities and penances, he also gave him an entire village, then returned to the palace. Thus Sumedha and his wife enjoyed every facility in this world and as a last went to the abode of Lord Vishnu.

Whoever observes a fast on Parama Ekadasi fasting and Pancaratrika is freed from all sins and after he returns to enjoy here as did the Brahmana Visnuloka Sumedha and Pavitra.

This is impossible, Oh Yudhisthira, the calculable extensive merit one gets by fasting on Parama Ekadasi, such compliance is equal to bathing places of pilgrimage such as Puskar lake and the river Ganges, giving cows in charity and run all kinds of religious activities.

One anyone in this day also complete all offers of respects to the ancestors at Gaya, he has, in fact, fasting in all other auspicious days.

As in the social order of brahmana is considered the best. Among the four legged creatures, the cow is the best and among the demigods, the demigod Indra is the best. Of all the months, leap year extra months is best.

Pancaratrika fasting, fasting five days of the month bisisesto extra year, it says it removes all kinds of abominable sins. But fasting in Paramaribo and Padmini Ekadasi destroys all the sins of the individual. If a person is unable to fast these days he could observe fasts during the extra month according to their ability.

A person who after receiving a human birth does not take a proper bath for this extra month and then see these Ekadasis that are very dear to Lord Hari, commits suicide and suffers in the cycle of 8′400 000 species.

The birth of human being is very rare and is said to accumulate merit and execute release. Thus one should fully observe the fast of this auspicious day of Parama Ekadasi.

The Lord Sri Krishna concluded, O sinless Yudhisthira, as you asked, I will have described the wonderful merit one can get by fasting on this Ekadasi called Parama that occurs during the months of the year surcharge bisisesto. You could observe this fast if possible.

King Yudhisthira did exactly as the Lord Krishna had instructed and so did all his brothers and his wife, Draupadi. After enjoying pleasures that achieved in the material world they returned home, back to God. Whoever that after bathing himself observes a fast on these two extra Ekadasis of the month, could go to heaven and finally getting the abode of Lord Vishnu, as he traveled there he was praised and worshiped by all demigods.

Thus ends the glories of Parama Ekadasi, the Ekadasi that occurs during the fortnight of the extra month of leap year of the Skanda Purana.

Janardhana Oh!, Supreme maintainer of all living things What is the Ekadasi in the new moon fortnight in the month Bhadrapada (between August and September). Bhagavan Sri Krishna explained the history of fasting the holy day of Ekadasi Aja How to eliminate all bad karma (all reation on responsibilities acquired by living in this world material, according to universal laws of Sri Brahma):

Oh, king, listen to me carefully. The name of this sacred fast unlimited merit is Aja. Any person who fasts on this day (at least for cereals and legumes) worshiping the holy name of Sri Rishikesh (Sri Hari) Lord of the senses (the Breath of Life), becomes free reactions of all sins created from attachment-aversion activity (Ignorance, passion, kindness) Anyone who simply reads or hears, Santo Glories of Ekadasi Fasting is free again of their sins and miseries materials, including life next. Oh, king, no better day than this dedicated to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, in all the land Celestial worlds and this is true without any doubt.

There once was a famous king named Harischandra, who could be considered, the emperor of the world and a person of great veracity and integrity. The name of his wife was Chandramati and had a son named Lohitàshva. By force of fate, King Harischandra lost his kingdom and sold his wife and son.

Harischandra became a domestic servant of a sophisticated dining dog, who became guardian in a crematorium. Even being so insulting to a King, did not quit good character and devotion, such as soma-rasa (nectar of immortality) that even when mixed with some other liquid, loses his ability to grant health and youth (also acts as positive). The king spent many years in this condition slave. One day, very upset and run away thought; Where can I go? How I can rid of this karma, Krishna away from me?.

His mind was drowning in the ocean of anxiety and grief. One day a great sage, Srila Gurudeva Gautama Muni passing by with its hundreds of Disciples and King Enlightened lucky as he saw the Sri Brahma, Who created Brahmins (Monks, Suamis) to help human knowledge and fell to her feet as a rod offered his humble obeisances to the famous Master Gautama and with folded hands, King explained his terrible story quickly. The Muni was amazed listening to the story King’s so sad. He thought: how it happened in Karma, a powerful king to collect tattered clothes of the dead?

Gautama felt pity with Harischandra by its principles in devotional and instructed him all day, in the process of fasting on Ekadasi (Bhakti-yoga) for the cleansing of all karma. Gautama Muni said: O King, during the fortnight new moon of the month of Badrapada, there is a marabilloso called Aja Ekadasi day, which removes all sins (Selfish worldly activities like alcoholism and or Carnivore, attachments, addictions and anxieties) sales. The auspicious Ekadasi is so fast that by simply (Completely grains: cereals and pulses, nor is cooking with wine, garlic, onions, or mushrooms, or eggs, or fish) but not made more austere than this in life, merit is equivalent to all the austerities in Yoga and righteous deeds; All material reactions disappear, giving way to a auspicious life both spiritually and in good fortune.

In a few days you can join us in this prayer and fasting explained. So, I recommend fasting on this day and night stay in glorifying Sri Narayana:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama

Hare Rama Hare Rama

For all your sins disappear reactions and easily you can return to God the spiritual world. Oh, Harischandra!, I (Sri Guru) instruct you to break free of your past material reactions. Now, all good fortune and spirituality are for you in the future.

Harischandra followed the instructions Gautama Rishi, on the holy day of fasting Aja Ekadasi, which gives the greatest merit and immediately release all the miseries of the past reactions. O King Yudhisthira, The demigods in heaven playing their cymbals and drums heavenly flowers raining down on Harischandra who became aware of the goals of life and could leave, recovering to their friends and family. By the blessings of the holy fasting Ekadasi he and his family, his happy subjects, regained their kingdom without difficulty and For many years they lived in peace and all easily returned to the spiritual world.

Oh, Pandava King Bhakta!, Who fasts on Ekadasi Aja, is freed from all sins and attains the spiritual world; only by reading and studying the glories of this Ekadasi get a credit similar to the austerities of the mystic and is admired by all the demigods and great sages. Thus ends the narration of the glories of Badrapada.

Aja Ekadasi Ekadasi Krishna or the Brahma Purana Vaivarta.

Once Bhimasena the young brother of Maharaja Yudhisthira asked the great sage Srila Vyasadeva grandfather of the Pandavas, if it was possible to return to espirutual world without having observed all the rules and regulations of the Ekadasi fasts. Bhimasena said: Oh, clever grandfather!, My brother Yudhisthira, my dear mother Kunti, and my beloved wife Draupadi as Arjuna, Nakula Sahadeva fast and completely Ekadasi and strictly follow the rules and regulations of this sacred day. Oh, Grandpa!, I say, I can not live without eating, because hunger is unbearable to me. I have made great charities and worship the Lord properly but I can not fast on Ekadasi. Please tell me how can I get the same result without fasting.Listening to these words Vyasndeva Srila replied: If you want to go to the heavenly planets and avoid the hellish planets, so you could observe a fast in both bright and dark Ekadasi. Bhima said: Oh, very clever grandfather!, Please listen to my argument, oh, the largest of all the Munis!, I can not live as if only once a day, how can I possibly live if I fast completely. Inside, my stomach is called a special Vrka fire, the fire of digestion. Only when my total satisfaction with the fire in my stomach become satisfied. Oh, great sage!, I could possibly be able to fast only once, and I pray you tell me of an Ekadasi that includes all other Ekadasis. I could faithfully observe the fast and become eligible for release.
Srila Vyasadeva replied: Oh, King!, You have heard about my various kinds of occupational duties as the elaborate Vedic ceremonies. In Kali Yuga, but no one could be able to observe all these occupational duties properly. I could tell you so you can withstand virtually any small austere and run the biggest benefit and happy results. The essence of all Vedic scriptures known as the Puranas is that one could not eat or drink in the days of Ekadasi. One who fasts on Ekadasi is saved from going to the hellish planets.

Listening to the words of Vyasadeva, Bhimasena, the strongest of all warriors, became frightened and began to weaken as a leaf on a tree baniano in a strong wind. The fearful Bhimasena said: Oh my grandfather that I can do? I am completely unable to fast twice a month during the year. Please tell me of one of the days of fasting that would confer great benefit to me.
Vyasadeva replied: Without water you can take in the Ekadasi fasting takes place during the two weeks of Jyestha (May-June) when the sun crosses the sign of Gemini and Taurus. According to learned personalities on this day one may bathe and perform acamana for purification. But to run a acamana to take only the amount of water equal to one drop of gold, the amount of a single seed that can be submerged. Only this amount of water that can be placed in the palm of the hand that one must be to resemble the ear of a cow. If one takes more water than it is as if he had taken wine.
One would certainly not eat anything because if you eat break fast. This rigid fast is in effect from sunrise on Ekadasi to sunrise on Dvadasi. If a person makes it possible to observe this great fast very strictly, the runs easily observe the results of all 24 Ekadasis over the previous year.
In the Dvadasi devotee could bathe in the morning then according to the written rules and regulations depending on their ability, he could give some gold and water to worthy Brahmanas. Finally should cheerfully honor prasadam with a Brahmana.
Oh, Bhimasena, one who can fast on this special Ekadasi in this way to harvest the benefit in having fasted every Ekadasi during the year. There is no doubt that Bhima now Oh hear the specific merit one gets by fasting on this Ekadasi. The Supreme Lord Kesava, who holds a conch, discus, a mace and a lotus flower, personally told me, each one could take my refuge and follow my instructions. Then he told me that someone who fasts on this Ekadasi without taking food or water becomes free from all sinful reaction. And one who observes Ekadasi fasting difficult in Sukla-Ekadasi-Jyestha harvest truly benefit from all the other fasts of Ekadasis.
Oh, Bhimasena! In Kali Yuga the age of quarrel and hypocrisy when all the principles of the Vedas may have been destroyed or greatly reduced, and where there could be no charity or observation of the old Vedic principles and ceremonies How could there be any significance purification of one? But there is an opportunity to fast on Ekadasi and become free from all past sins.
Oh, son of Vayu! What more can I say? You can forgo drinking water in particular auspicious day Jyestha - Sukla Ekadasi.
Oh, Vikodara!, Whoever fasts on this Ekadasi receives the merits of bathing in all places of pilgrimage, giving all kinds of charity and fasting at all Ekadasis.
Of this there is no doubt Oh, tigre men!, Whoever fasts on this Ekadasi becomes a great person and win the whole grain foods rich strength and health. And at the fearful moment of death the terrible Yamadutas who by nature are yellow and black, and those who argue that large masses and spin with clothes mystically in the air closer to refuse. Rather the soul may be true once you have taken to the supreme abode of the Lord who Visnudutas transcendentally beautiful forms are clothed in yellow and garlands in their hands hold a disk 4 a mass a conch and a lotus flower. All these benefits are certainly won by whoever fasts on this Ekadasi important without water.
When the other Pandavas heard about the benefit to be gained by further Jyestha-sukla they resolved to observe Ekadasi Srila Vyasadeva exactly as he had explained to his brother Bhimasena. All the Pandavas observed it by refraining from eating or just drinking water and so this day is known as the Pandava-Nirjala Duadasi.
Srila Vyasadeva continued: Oh, Bhima! Therefore you should observe this important fast to remove all your past sinful actions. You must pray to the supreme personality of God Sri Krishna in this manner: O Lord of all demigods!, Oh Supreme Personality of God, today I shall observe Ekadasi without taking any water, Oh, unlimited Ananta!, Yo will have to break the fast next day Duadasi.

After removing the devoted all their sins should honor this Ekadasi with all faith in the Lord with all of your senses. If your sins are equal in volume to Mount Sumeru or Mandaracala Hill, if he or she observed the Ekadasi their sins become nullified and are burned to ashes. This is the great power of this Ekadasi.
“Oh! The best of all human beings a person could also give water and cows in charity during this Ekadasi if for some reason or another he can not then give a qualified Brahmana any clothing or pot filled with water. Thus the merit earned by giving water alone equals giving gold ten million times a day.
Oh, Bhima!, Lord Sri Krishna has said that whoever observes this Ekadasi should take a holy bath, give charity to a person, sing the holy names of God in a bad japa and run some kind of recommended sacrifice made by these things on this day is a vital benefit. No need to run another kind of duty religioso.El observe this Ekadasi fasting promises the Supreme abode of Sri Vishnu.
Oh, best of kurus! If one donates gold, clothes or other things on this day that one gets the merit is essential.
Remember anyone who eats grains on Ekadasi becomes contaminated by sin and eats only sin. In fact, He already has become a dining and dog after death suffered by the existence of hell. But who observes this sacred Jyestha Sukla Ekadasi and gives something in charity release certainly runs a cycle of repeated births and deaths and attains the Supreme abode.
Observing this Ekadasi which is mixed with a pound to Duadasi the horrible sin of killing a Brahmana, or drinking liquor, become envious of the spiritual master and ignoring his instructions and lie continuously.
That way, Oh, best of Beings!, Any man or woman who observes this fast properly and worships the Supreme Lord Jalasayi (who sleeps on the water) and who sanctifies the next day with a qualified donation of cows Brahmana and money as a person to the Supreme Lord Vasudeva 100 as previous generations of his family go to the Supreme Lord’s abode, even if they could have been wrong or sinful nature and commit suicide in despair.
Thus, one who observes this Ekadasi is carried on a glorious celestial airplane (vimana) to that dwelling. Who on this day gives a Brahmana a pot of water, or an umbrella will go to heaven. That way I just heard these glories also reaches the transcendental abode of Sri Vishnu.
Whoever performs the Sraddha ceremony to ancestors on the day of the moon called amavasya particularly if this occurs in the time of solar eclipse runs undoubtedly great merit. But this same merit is achieved by anyone who hears this sacred narration just so powerful and beloved of the Lord is this Ekadasi.
One must brush your teeth properly and eat and drink that observes this Ekadasi pleased the Supreme Lord Kesava.
On the day after Ekadasi one should worship the Supreme Personality of God in the form of Trivikrma offering water, flowers, incense and a lamp of fire.
Then the devotees offered prayers from her heart: Oh, God, the gods, releasing all oh, oh master of the senses Hrsikesa kindly Give liberation, I can not offer anything better than this humble pot of water.
Then the devotee should donate the pot of water to a Brahmana.
Oh, Bhimasena!, After watching this Ekadasi and donate items to their ability, the devotee should feed Brahmanas, and thus honor prasadam silently.
Srila Vyasadeva concluded: “I firmly tell you that fasting is auspicious, purifying and devourer of sins. Noting Duadasi is the way I have purified. That way you could be completely free from all sins and attain the Supreme abode. Thus ends the narration of the glories of Jyestha Sukla Ekadasi or Ekadasi of Bhimaseni Nirjala Brahma Purana Vaivarta.

Many devotees are very inquisitive about the appearance of Sri Ekadashi and their special characteristics. Therefore I am presenting this description of Chapter 14 of the Padma Purana, in the section entitled “Kriya-Sagara-sara.” Once the great sage Jaimini IHRs told his spiritual master Srila Vyasadeva, ¡Oh Gurudev! Before your mercy, I’ve described the history of the glories of the Ganga river, the benefits of worshiping the Lord Vishnu, giving grains in charity, give charity and water in the magnanimity of drinking water have washed the feet of the Brahmins. Oh, the best of the sages, Sri Gurudev, now, with great enthusiasm, I hear the benefits of fasting on Ekadashi day and the emergence of Ekadashi. Kasman ekadasi JATA tasyah ko is vidhir dvija
Kada is kriyate kim kim is going phalam me vadasva
Tatra Devata pujyatama goes ka-sad gunarnava
akurvatah syatko dosa etan me vaktum arhasi

“Oh Gurudev! When Ekadashi born? And Who appears? What are the rules to continue to fast on Ekadashi? Descríbeme Please keep the benefits of this vote and that should be followed. Who is the deity who presides over this adorable Sri Ekadashi? What are the faults in not following the day of Ekadashi properly please shed your mercy on me and tell me about these matters, since you’re the only person who can do this. ”

Srila Vyasadeva after hearing this concern Jaimini RSI, was in transcendental bliss. “O sage Jaimini! The results of follow Ekadashi can only be perfectly described by the Supreme Lord Narayana, because Sri Narayana is the only person able to describe fully. But I’ll give you a brief description in answer to your questions. ”

“At the beginning of material creation, the Supreme Lord created the entities mobile and immobile living within this world made of five gross material elements. Simultaneously with the aim of punishing human beings, He created a personality whose form was the personification of sin (Papapurusha) The different members of his body were created various sinful activities.

- His head was made the sin of killing a Brahmana (priest).
- Its two eyes were made of the sin of taking toxic intoxicating.
- Your mouth was made the sin of stealing gold.
– His ears were made from the sin of having illicit relations with the wife of the spiritual master.
– His nose was made the sin of killing one’s wife.
– His arms was made the sin of killing a cow.
– His neck was made the sin of stealing accumulated wealth.
– His chest was made the sin of abortion.
– The bottom of his chest was made the sin of adultery.
– Her stomach was made the sin of killing one’s relatives.
– Her navel was made the sin of killing those who depend on one.
– Waist was made the sin of vanity.
– Your thighs was made the sin of offending the Guru (spiritual teacher).
– Her genital was made the sin of selling one’s daughter.
– His buttocks were made from the sin of revealing the secrets confidential.
– Her feet were made of the sin of killing the father.
– Hair color black sins were made of smaller and less severe.

In this way, a horrible personality corporificada of all sinful activities and vices was created. His body was colored black and yellow eyes. And he is the one that inflicted extreme hardship on the people sinful.
The Supreme Personality of God, the Lord Vishnu, after watching this personality of sin, he himself began to think so: “I am the creator of the miseries and happiness of all living entities, I am the master of all, because I created this personality of sin, who gives distress to all dishonest, deceiving and sinful people. Now I must create someone who can control the personality!. At that time Sri Bhagavan created the personality known as Yamaraja and hellish planetary systems. Those living entities who are very sinful will be sent after death where Yamaraja, who in turn, according to their sins, sends them to the infernal regions to suffer.

After making these adjustments, the Supreme Lord, the giver of happiness and miseries of all living entities, was the abode of Yamaraja with the help of Garuda the king of birds. Yamaraja when he saw that the Lord Vishnu came, immediately wash your lotus feet and made offerings to the Lord and then gave seat as a throne of gold. The Supreme Lord, Vishnu, just after he sat on the throne of gold, heard a few cries of lamentation coming from the south. He was surprised by this and Yamaraja ask, “Where do those strong cries of pain?”

Yamaraja replied, “Oh Deva! The different living entities of the earthly planetary systems have fallen to the infernal regions and are suffering greatly for their evil acts. Lamenting the horrible suffering to be awarded for their past evil deeds. ” After hearing this the Supreme Lord, Vishnu, went to the infernal regions of the South. When the inhabitants saw who had come, they began to shout and lament even more.

The Supreme Lord’s heart was filled with compassion. Lord Vishnu also thought, “I created all this progeny, and is due to me they are suffering.”

Srila Vyasadeva continued: “Oh Jaimini, just listen to what the Supreme Lord was then” etac canyac ca viprarse vicintya karunamayah
babhuva sahasa Tatra svayam ekadasi tithih “After the merciful Supreme Lord thought over what had previously considered, He suddenly manifested in His own body shape a lunar deity Ekadashi days.” After this the various sinful living entities began to follow the vow of Ekadashi and was quickly elevated to the abode of Vaikuntha (spiritual world). Oh, my child Jaimini, the day of Lunar Ekadashi is the same way the Supreme Lord, Vishnu and superalma the heart of all living entities. Sri Ekadashi is the most supremely pious and stands as the largest of all votes.

Following the ascension of Sri Ekadashi, that personality that is the way of sinful activities (Papapurusha) gradually saw the influence that had Sri Ekadashi. approached Lord Vishnu with doubts in his heart and began offering many prayers, Lord Vishnu was very pleased and said: “I was very pleased with the beautiful offerings, what is the desire to want. ”

The Papapurusha replied: “I am your created progeny, and it is through me that you give all the miseries sinful living entities. But now, the influence of Sri Ekadashi am being destroyed. Prabhu Oh! After I die all your parts and pieces that have accepted material bodies are released and return to the abode of Vaikuntha. If there is the liberation of all living entities, then who will carry out your activities? Not that anyone will make your transcendental pastimes in terrestrial planetary systems!, O Kesava, if you want these transcendental pastimes continuation and eternal, then please save me from the fear of need Ekadashi. Any kind of pious activity can stop me. But only Ekadashi, being your own manifested form, can stop and prevent. For fear that I have ever Ekadashi that manifests and I’ve flown in refugee men, animals, insects, mountains, trees, mobile and immobile living entities, rivers, oceans, forests, sky, land and hellish planetary systems in the demigods, and the Gandharva. And I can not find a place where I can be free from fear of Sri Ekadashi. Oh my love! I am a product of your creation, be merciful and dirígeme to a place where I can live without fear. ”

Srila Vyasadeva Jaimini then told, “After saying this, the embodiment of all sinful activities (Papapurusha) fell at the feet of the Supreme Lord Vishnu who is the destroyer of all miseries and began to mourn. After this, Lord Vishnu, observing the condition Papapurusha with a smile, she began to talk like, “Oh Papapurusha! Get up! Do not be more sorry, just listening and I’ll tell you where you stand on this day of Lunar auspicious Ekadashi. On the day of Ekadashi, which is a benefactor of the three worlds, you can take refuge in the form of food grains. There is no reason to worry more about this, because my way of Sri Ekadashi Devi never bother you. ” After giving this instruction Papapurusha to the Supreme Lord, Vishnu Papapurusha disappeared and returned to performing their own activities.

Therefore those who are serious about achieving the ultimate benefit to the soul, should never eat grains on Ekadashi Tithi. According to the instructions of Lord Vishnu, every kind of sinful activity that can be found in this material world will refuge or have their residence in the form of food grains. A person who follows the vow of Ekadashi will be freed from all sins and never enter the infernal regions after death. And if one does not follow because of the illusion Ekadashi is considered the most sinful of all. For every mouthful of grain that is eating a resident of the land regions, will receive the effect of killing millions of Brahmanas. It is definitely a need to stop eating grains on Ekadashi days. With a lot of imposition say again and again, in Ekadashi not eat grains, do not eat grains, do not eat grains!. Whether a Kshatriya, Vaishya, Sudras or family, you should follow the lunar days of Ekadashi. It can achieve the perfection of Varna and Ashram. (The 4 social classes, and spiritual.) Even if one follows Ekadashi joke, all his sins are destroyed and easily reached destination Supreme abode of Vaikuntha.
